Filmmaker James Cameron’s Avatar has been ridiculed by viewers for its movie logo, which uses the notorious ‘Papyrus’ typeface.

The design choice was hilariously parodied in SNL, where Ryan Gosling obsessed over the logo and eventually confronted the film’s fictional graphic designer.

With Cameron set to release upcoming sequels to the movie, the film franchise has quietly updated its logo across all platforms. Fast Company reported that the logo refresh swaps the ‘Papyrus’ typeface for a new, custom design in blue. Cameron’s name, previously featured in the initial version, has also been dropped.
