Apple fans have learned that two out of three of the brand’s upcoming OLED smartphones will bear the ‘iPhone Xs’ moniker. The first will have a 5.8-inch display, while the other will boast a 6.5-inch screen.

The company apparently went back and forth about whether to drop the ‘Plus’ label for this year’s larger 6.5-inch OLED iPhone, and it seems like it finally did. Insiders have suggested that the plus-sized device will be called ‘iPhone Xs Max’.

The news comes from Apple-dedicated site 9to5Mac, the same blog that brought you supposed promo images of the forthcoming iPhones and Apple watch. It cited “two sources familiar with Apple’s marketing plans.”

Tech site BGR corroborated this claim with confirmations from “two sources.”

Along with the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch ‘iPhone Xs’ models, Apple is slated to roll out a cheaper LCD version with a display measuring at 6.1 inches.

All three are believed to mirror iPhone X’s notched and end-to-end design, and are likely to be unveiled on September 12.
