Dunkin’ is following through with its rebrand from Dunkin’ Donuts to spotlight the company’s “great coffee.”

Together with New Frontier Tiny Homes and sustainable biochemical brand Blue Marble Biomaterials, Dunkin’ custom built a mobile 275-square-foot ‘Home That Runs on Dunkin’, unveiled at Madison Square Park in New York City.

The abode is powered by eco-friendly biofuel, made from roughly 65,000 pounds of spent Dunkin’ coffee grounds.

“Every 170 pounds of spent coffee grounds yields about one gallon of fuel and is used in a standard biofuel generator,” explains Dunkin’ on its website.

The home’s exterior has been modeled after its ‘Dunkin’ at Home’ coffee: “dark, black stained cedar wood reminiscent of a morning cup of coffee, and corten steel panels that have a coarse and dusty finish similar to the coffee grounds that power the home.”

Its bright and modern interior, on the other hand, was designed in partnership with actress Olivia Wilde, whose passion for interior design contributed towards its cozy living room with coffee nook, chef’s kitchen and farmhouse sink, full-sized cedar porch, and other contemporary aesthetics.
