Rapper Kanye West has yet another huge announcement—and nope, it’s not about brand new YEEZY sneakers or humongous slippers. The reality star has yet again expressed his interest in running for president—but he intends to push back his campaign until 2024.

West previously announced his plans to run for the role at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, and remains confident about winning the election.

In a recent segment with radio station Power 92 Chicago, West told DJ Pharris, “If I decide to do it, it will be done. I’m not going to try… Yes, 100-percent it could happen… 2024.”

This means the YEEZY founder won’t be going head-to-head with current US president Donald Trump, whom he had called his “brother,” in the 2020 election.

In spite of the bromance jokes, West added that he didn’t agree with all of Trump’s policies. He also said his key focus would be healthcare; “I’m going to make sure the medical industry flourishes.”

Check out the interview below. West discusses running as president around the 34:23 mark.
