KFC UK might have run out of chickens back in February this year, but there’s no shortage of the fowl in this Christmas spot from the fast food chain.

Together with creative agency Mother London, KFC pits a chicken against the other festive bird, the turkey, in this ultimate stare down. The fowls come face-to-face in the snow, where the chicken boasts, “Turkey comes and goes, but chicken’s here to stay.”

KFC also unveiled print ads to capitalize on the distaste of the larger bird, where one poster reads, “The trick to enjoying Christmas turkey? Lowering your expectations.”

KFC’s marketing director Monica Pool said KFC restaurants will be closed on 25 December to allow the “turkey to have its moment,” but will remain open every other day of the year.

Previously, KFC teamed up with Mother London for a campaign that dissed its tasteless fries.
