This year, British travel company and air carrier Thomas Cook introduced ‘Cook’s Club’, a tier of vacation deals for trendy, “forward-thinking” millennials.

To promote the new packages, Thomas Cook splayed the slogan, “I love Cook’s Club,” across its planes.

In spite of the company’s lighthearted intentions, the internet went extra hard on the execution of the message because—woe and behold—the second ‘O’ in “Cook’s” sits atop the engines’ exits; when the doors slide sideways, the character turns into a ‘C.’

It certainly didn’t take long for cheeky social media users to note that the tagline would read, “I love Cock’s Club,” if the doors slid open.

“Move over, ‘Cathay Paciic’, [here’s] another paint job gone wrong,” Facebook page ‘A Fly Guy’s Cabin Crew Lounge’ wrote, referencing the recent spelling gaffe by Cathay Pacific that generated roars of laughter.

A spokesperson from the company told the Sun Online Travel that while accidental, the design could serve as an enforcement to let passengers know where the emergency exits are.

Thomas Cook describes ‘Cook’s Club’ as, “an alternative kind of atmosphere that welcomes forward-thinking travellers.” Think of it what you will.

(function(d, s, id) {

var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];

if (d.getElementById(id)) return;

js = d.createElement(s); = id;

js.src = ‘’;

fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);

}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

Thomas Cook also had a livery fail

Thomas Cook's new livery says "I ❤ Cook's Club". Until you open the door.

A most unfortunate paint scheme for the Thomas Cook "I Love Cook's Club" campaign (or a poor door placement…?)
